A note from, Michelle, the 4IR project lead:
I started the conversation that led to 4IR at the FQ Lounge in Davos discussing women and the Great Wealth Transfer with inspiration from the WEF's Fourth Industrial Revolution report. This event was followed by a CSO roundtable of leading women in sustainability that further shaped my worldview on how we can steward capital for purpose. After many years in AI and deep tech, my work has spanned from advanced machine learning CRISPR research, leading the manufacturing scale-up for the coronavirus treatment, and developed a geospatial AI company, FinSat, to scale renewable energy development. To me, the 4IR project has the potential to disrupt how we consume and interact with media today by creating media concepts that strengthen human participation, open dialogue, and real-world impact.
Giving people space and grace to challenge and test each other's thinking around the questions driving the Fourth Industrial Revolution is a small way to give back to the community that has helped shape my worldview. I hope that every time you read the stories, listen to the podcast, and join us for dinner, you want to chime in and give another perspective or challenge an idea and leave intellectually stimulated with new friends.
